ABOUT PARNASSUS HEIGHTS PODIATRY GROUP:

Parnassus Heights Podiatry Group is located at 2250 Hayes Street, in the South wing of St. Mary’s Medical Center, near Golden Gate Park and has been providing foot and ankle care for over 30 years. The practice is affiliated with the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University. The 3 doctors who provide patient care are all professors of podiatric surgery. It is a busy practice, every four months a new rotation of podiatry students come through the office to assist the 3 doctors with patient care as part of their medical training.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Schedule surgies, answer four incoming phone lines, route calls, schedule and confirm appointments, fax documents, and check-in patients for 3 doctors. Wash, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments. Prepare nail and skin specimens for pick up by the lab. Pack up orthotic casts for shipment. Assist in teaching new rotations of podiatric students office protocol. TEAMWORK.

REQUIREMENTS:

Multi-task, Multi-task, Multi-task!! This position is for someone that is OUTGOING, dedicated and hard working.

Must have excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills with an ability to follow through and prioritize tasks. Must have the ability to multitask while maintaining a professional phone and front office manner. Must have basic computer knowledge. Be friendly, accommodating and courteous to patients, doctors and co-workers. Must enjoy working with students in a learning environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and/or podiatry is a plus.

OFFICE HOURS:

Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30 with one hour off for lunch.

Compensation: $14-$16/hr, plus benefits after 3 months.
