AmeriPath has an immediate opening for a Senior Oncology Marketing Manager to be responsible for support in upstream market assessment and product design through product launch and revenue growth. The position will manage select diagnostic Oncology offerings and assist in the definition and development of new products through contact with customers, prospects and scientific and medical leaders. The successful candidate will be responsible for product positioning, market launch, revenue growth and product adoption in the market.

Responsibilities Include:
• Participate in the R&D pipeline activities
• Participate as needed in Business Development teams necessary to acquire, license or develop new oncology products
• Establish market opportunity and clarity on product design requirements
• Work with R&D to identify the appropriate studies required to drive acceptance in the market
• Collaborate with other functional groups to ensure tight linkage between upstream product development and downstream market development
• Develop key messages for product offering and relay that message throughout the organization.
• Analyze customer segments and develop specific tools and programs
• Manage product line performance and growth
• Drive communication and progress of initiatives

Job Requirements:
• Ability to master complex scientific information for application in public communication to diverse audiences
• Proven analytic skills with scientific papers and market intelligence
• Ability to analyze potential markets and provide accurate, insightful market analysis
• Understanding of product management, product development / introduction process
• Proven track record for driving sales performance
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous, complex tasks and to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, presentation skills, verbal, tact, computer and confidentiality
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally, collaborate with teams across different locations and influence those outside of span of control

• Greenbelt or Black belt certification preferred
• Ability to travel 40 – 60% for team meetings, customer and prospect visits, focus groups, industry events, trade shows, technical conferences, etc

Educational Requirements:
• Required: Bachelors degree in life sciences, Business/Marketing and/or Product Management
• Preferred: Advanced Degree (PhD, M.D., PharmD, MS) in life science or other related technical course of study required. MBA preferred.

Experience:
• Required: 7 years of experience in life sciences marketing and/or product management with a successful track record in Oncology markets. Strong preference for experience working directly with key opinion leaders and with marketing products in the US.
• Preferred: 10 years of related industry experience and/or equivalent experience in product development, brand management, marketing development and market analysis. Strong preference for experience in a related industry/role and increasing scope of authority in a complex organization. Experience in Oncology sales is a significant benefit.
