We are actively recruiting an experienced Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to support our surgeons, cardiologists and RNs at our new Kaiser Permanente Center for Heart and Vascular Care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide high-quality pre-, intra- and post-operative patient care through direct assessment, formulation and implementation of treatment plans under the guidance of cardiovascular team physicians. Be first-assist in the OR; harvest vein/radial arteries in the OR. Make rounds and remove lines, tubes and drains in post-operative patients in the ICU and telemetry units; assist with discharge planning; assume on-call responsibilities and education duties. Ensure that member patients receive high-quality, timely and appropriate care.

QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of approved PA or NP program with certification. National certification. Oregon State medical (PA) or Oregon NP license and Oregon RN license. Valid BLS certification.

We prefer candidates with two years of clinical experience, including endoscopic vein/radial artery harvest; minor surgery or surgical assist skills.
