Synapse Medical Communications, LLC in Manhattan seeks an Oncology Expert (VP/SVP). This position will be in-house, five days a week and is located near Grand Central Station in NYC. We are a privately-held New York City based organization, focused on creating compelling medical communications initiatives, looking to enhance our already strong team with a new member. This person will be viewed as a medical expert and possess a depth of knowledge about the oncology competitive landscape and clinical utilization to help shape strategy and execute tactics.
This individual will be viewed as an agency resource, forming a unique bridge between the account and medical sides of the business.
Our ideal candidate is a Medical Oncologist (i.e., M.D.) by training, with both clinical practice and industry (pharma/biotech) experience, though Ph.D.s and Pharm.D.s are also highly desirable. Candidates who have attained superior oncology knowledge without the advanced degree will also be considered.
Candidates are meticulous to detail, willing to travel 25% domestically, and must:
- have expertise in both solid tumors and hematologic malignancies; expertise in lung, breast, colorectal, ovarian, multiple myeloma, NHL, and CLL preferred.
- have significant insight and understanding around targeted therapies (TKIs, MoAbs, etc.) and molecular diagnostics in cancer.
- possess strong presentation and moderation skills, and be skilled at working with KOLs and clients.
- possess a working knowledge of the MLR review processes and industry guidelines
