Experienced nurse practitioner to run medical, surgical weight loss clinic, perform histories, physicals, assess patients pre-operatively, follow patients post-operatively, make post-operative dietary recommendations, and all of this with supervision and participation of the surgeon. For non- surgical candidates, NP is expected to conduct medical weight loss program, with the guidelines, provided by the physician. NP is also expected to organize seminars for the new patients, support group meetings for already existing patients. NP is also expected to have extensive experience and knowledge of matters related to insurance approval, hospital scheduling, centers of excellence, patient outcome database, and other related issues. Knowledge of marketing and public relations is not required, but definitely is a plus.
Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a clinic setting. Bariatric background and knowledge is a HUGE plus!
To qualify for this position you must be a GRADUATE from an accredited NP program, have a current CA NP license, furnishing license and have a MASTER’S in Nursing or Health field.
