Marin General Hospital, a not-for-profit facility, opened in May 1952. It is the largest acute care hospital in Marin County and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Marin General Hospital is licensed for 235 acute care beds and works in close partnership with Novato Community Hospital to provide for the health care needs of 175,000 residents of Marin County. A. EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field required with a concentration in Medical/Surgical, Oncology Nursing. Master’s Degree required with ONS certification.
B. EXPERIENCE
1. 3-5 years of recent acute care nursing experience in Medical/Surgical /Oncology
2. Expert knowledge of key patient care standards and compliance specifications; Title-22 and The Joint Commission
3. Experience in data management and analysis preferred

1. Demonstrated knowledge of education theory and practice
2. Demonstrated teaching and leadership abilities
3. Demonstrated oral and written skills
4. Demonstrated computer skills
5. Demonstrated presentation skills
6. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with hospital staff, physicians and outside agencies
7. Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of Hospital personnel and external clients
8. Ability to read, write, understand and follow English verbal and written instructions
9. Ability to set priorities, achieve objectives, solve problems, meet deadlines, coordinate simultaneous projects, and make decisions
LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
1. Current California RN license
2. Current California CNS license
3. Current hospital required certification (BLS) within 90 days of hire
